Incepted in the year 2009, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is the successor to the popular luxury train ‘Palace on Wheels’. As one of the newest entries in the list of luxury trains in India, this train has earned immense fame and popularity. Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is a more luxurious version of Palace on Wheels run by Indian Railways. The train covers similar circuit of Rajasthan besides Kama Sutra Temples of Khajuraho and Ancient Hindu Pilgrimage town of Varanasi. A journey of Royal Rajasthan takes the tourists to several important tourist, wildlife and heritage sites across Rajasthan.

About the Train
There are a total of 14 passenger coaches in the train, and each exudes exquisite and elegant interiors. Each coach in the train has been named after different palaces of Rajasthan. There are 13 deluxe and 2 super-deluxe saloons in the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. The Saloons are aesthetically designed with the finest quality of jewels like ruby, pearl and sapphire. The entire décor will usher a sense of royalty and imperial lifestyle of its guests.
The use of antique furniture along with silk and velvet bedspreads gives a more graceful finish to the entire train. In order to make the journey more appealing, the coaches are decked with study tables, chairs, and all lavish amenities and facilities.
There are two fine dining restaurants in the train, namely Swarn Mahal and Sheesh Mahal. These restaurants will pamper you with flavoursome food. From serving traditional Rajasthani cuisines to offering Continental, Chinese and various other appetizing options, these restaurants satiate the guests’ gluttony requirement. The luxury train also has a bar that offers finest collection of wines and liquors.
